Vulva area discoloration or pigmentation reasons:<\/strong>
– Hormonal imbalance.
– Pregnancy hormones.
– Wearing tight underwear.
– High humidity or temperature.
– Insulin intolerance.
– continuous harsh shaving.
– Hereditary
– Friction due to obesity<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

  • Light Chemical Peel:<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>

    It is a non invasive procedure of removing the upper layer of the skin that are damaged or dead, encouraging new cells growth and new layer is revealed.<\/p>

    It also helps in improving pigmentation and brightening the skin.<\/p>

    The formula used in this type of peeling is left on the skin for short amount of time.<\/p>

    Formula used:<\/strong>
    Glycolic acid and alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) extracted from fruit, sugar, sour milk, and other natural sources.<\/p>

    Candidates for Light Chemical Peel:<\/strong>
    Patients with:
    – Mild skin imperfections.
    – Who want to rejuvenate the appearance of the skin with short recovery time.<\/p>

    Preparation and Application:<\/strong>
    1. The skin of area to be treated must be first cleansed.
    2. Hair in the area must be shaved before.
    3. Then the chemical solution is applied.
    4. The patient may feel a stinging sensation.
    5. After the prescribed amount of time has passed, the formula will be removed with water and a soothing lotion will be applied.<\/p>

    Duration:<\/strong>
    It takes about 30 minutes.
    The patient is allowed to return to normal activities immediately. And she might need to repeat the treatment for several times for optimal results.<\/p>

    Number of sessions:<\/strong>
    every 1-2 weeks for 4-5 sessions.<\/p>

    Recovery:<\/strong>
    No recovery time is needed, but the patient is advised to:
    – Wear loose clothing.
    – avoid exercise on the same day of your treatment.
    – Avoid waxing or laser hair removal after the treatment.
    – Use a gentle cleanser<\/p>

    • Medium Chemical peel:<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>

      It works on the skin deeper than the light peel. chemical solution (mix of different formulas according to each patient) is applied to the skin to remove damaged skin.
      After a week, the dead skin starts to come off revealing a new layer.<\/p>

      Preparation and Application:<\/strong>
      1. The skin of area to be treated must be first cleansed.
      2. Hair in the area must be shaved within the last 48 hours.
      3. Then the chemical solution is applied.
      4. The patient may feel a stinging sensation.
      5. After the prescribed amount of time has passed, the formula will be removed with water and a soothing lotion will be applied.<\/p>

      Duration:<\/strong>
      Depends on the area treated.
      It may take from 15 to 60 minutes.
      The patient might need to repeat the treatment for several times for optimal results.<\/p>

      Number of sessions:<\/strong>
      Done once every 4-6 months, depends on the problem.<\/p>

      Recovery and side effects:<\/strong>
      Healing time is about 2 weeks.
      – Superficial crust might be formed that goes away within 7 days.
      – Mild swelling.
      – The new layer of the skin might appear reddish but fades away within a week.
